Airfield Stripe Removal

MEC, Inc. removed miles of line striping and thousands of square feet of rubber build-up from the runways and taxiways at Edwards Air Force Base in California.  We were able to implement both mechanical scraping with immediate vacuum recovery of dust or high-pressure water blasting with immediate vacuum recovery and containment of all wastewater.  Because the stripe material contained lead, all work had to be performed as lead paint abatement with proper worker personal protection and proper handling and disposal of all wastes.
