Tank and Pit Cleaning

Mec, Inc. workers cleaning a 1,000,000-gallon storage tank for recoating.  This tank was cleaned with High-Pressure water blasting equipment to remove all dirt and loose scale.  All wastewater was contained, profiled, manifested and disposed of as per Federal, State and Local requirements.  The tank was then recoated with an epoxy finish.
 
To make the project more challenging, the tank was located in a remote hilltop at approximately 1000’ elevation.  No utilities were available so we had to take all necessary equipment to supply electricity and water.  Access was very difficult using only steep dirt roads to reach the tank. All work was performed under strict specifications safely and on schedule.
